Publisher Distribution Program
A revenue or income partnership between online advertisers/providers and online publishers/websites. Compensation is usually based on performance measures, typically in the form of sales, clicks, registrations, installations or a hybrid model.

Bundle
A combination of two or more software programs that are offered together. Bundled software is included with most new computers and has become a key strategy for attracting new customers.

Contextual Advertising
A system that uses keyword recognition to scan the text of a website for matching keywords so it can locate online advertisements, pull them from a server, and display the advertisements that are related to what the user is viewing.
The difference between contextual or non-contextual, is that non-contextual does not use a keyword to trigger when to serve the advertisement.

Conversion Rate
The percentage of online visitors/users/surfers who take a desired action, such as agreeing to install the FREE program, or PAY for a non-free program.

DRM (Digital Rights Management)
A set of digital systems designed to protect the copyrights of data and intellectual property circulated via the Internet or other digital media. DRM is used so unauthorized users cannot freely copy or distribute protected portions of websites protected by DRM.

EXE (Executable file)
A file which is used to automatically perform various functions or operations on a computer. Unlike data or source files, executable files are assembled with a compiler and cannot usually be read by regular software programs.

SnapInstalls Partner Portal
A term used in SnapInstalls website to define the custom-designed web page users or publishers see when after they have signed up and are logging or logged in and are attempting to access SnapInstall.com (Private-protected content) Partner Portal Area on the website. The Partner Portal page is the difference between the Public (portion of the website any users can see) and the Private (portion of the website users that signup to become SnapInstalls publishers, web-masters, distributors, software-developers area on the website which only allows them into this area AFTER they signup and are approved and sign into the Private Area, or Partner Portal.

Pay-out
The payment of earnings issued to a publisher program partner. In our case, this would be a publisher who signs up, is approved, logs into our system, picks a program whether it be through ActiveX, Software Bundle (EXE), or Referral, and programs it to be offered to their user-base and in return for installations, is entitled to a payout of those installations.

Referral
The act of referring a potential publishing partner or referrer to a website publisher Program.

SnapInstalls Contextual Application or EXE
A SnapInstalls program which includes an application that matches keywords from websites users visit to highly targeted ads for products and services. There might be or not be a SnapInstalls program using an 'Assistant' that does not interrupt the content experience. Users only see ads when they are searching, shopping or browsing online – when the ads are most relevant. The key point here is that this 'keyword' triggered application. Some other applications could be without the contextual.

A SnapInstalls program which includes an application that lets users search the Internet directly from their browser.

A SnapInstalls program which includes an application that provides search results for users when the their browser is unable to locate a website or webpage.

Syndication
The sharing of content among different websites. Syndication is normally associated with licensed content such as television programs or newspaper columns and now includes online content. Syndication requires a distributor of such content to either pay or not pay to distribute this content.

User Consent Screen
A term used in SnapInstalls program which is used to define the screen displayed to users once they are about to install the SnapInstalls program which uses a certain type of application based on the offer and creative its partner or publisher is distributing to the user. The User Consent Screen includes the End User License Agreement (EULA) disclosure to the user and provides users with clear and upfront information about what they are installing.
